About Us

Since 1958, Ronsen Piano Hammer Company has been dedicated to crafting the highest-quality piano hammers available. Founded by Marty Negron and Bill Johansen—both formerly of the Pfriemer Piano Hammer Company—Ronsen has remained committed to the traditions of American-style hammer making, blending craftsmanship with customization to meet the needs of discerning technicians and piano builders.

Ray Negron joined the company in 1961 and served as president from 1983 through 2024, stewarding the business with unmatched expertise and care for over four decades.

In 2025, after years of dedicated apprenticeship and hands-on craftsmanship, Jordan Bailey took on the stewardship of Ronsen Piano Hammer Company. Honoring the company’s long tradition of precision, quality, and service, Jordan remains focused on supporting both historic restorations and modern piano manufacturing with care and integrity.
